About the Film
A feature length documentary plotting a whimsical alternative socio-political history of the New South Africa through the lens of Nando’s advertising campaigns.
Clients Goals: The Producers were keen to get the film seen at festivals located outside of Africa and specifically countries who were aware of the restaurant chain Nando’s.
Results Achieved by The Film Festival Doctor
PLUCK launched in its home town of South Africa at the Encounters Documentary Film Festival and was awarded the runner up prize for the Audience Choice Award. The Film Festival Doctor team achieved the client’s goals as the film went on to screen in competition at the Australian South African Film Festival and the London Independent Film Festival where it won the Best Documentary Award.
